SGH brought its’ newest production helmets to the AFCA convention in Nashville Jan 6-8, 2013.  Over three days, Bill Simpson, Scooter Ellis, and Bobby Davis showed the helmet and explained its properties to hundreds of the more than six thousand coaches present.

SGH was joined in its exhibit by Tom Moore, the legendary former offensive coordinator of the Indianapolis Colts.  Moore, who has four Super Bowl rings from his many years of NFL coaching, helped SGH connect with his many friends, former colleagues, and young admirers attending the show.  Tom was instrumental in the creation of the helmet, as it was his friendship with Bill that led to the original prototype helmets that were created for Colts players in 2010.

Many coaches who had never seen the helmet had their first chance to look it over and experience its light weight and revolutionary materials and construction.  As these pictures make clear, the helmet was well received.  “We got a great reception, and it was a chance to meet the coaches, let them see the helmet, and listen to their comments”, said Bill.  “Tom Moore helped us a great deal, and we thought it was a very successful show for us”.

SGH also plans to exhibit at a series of Glazier Clinics, the leading provider of coaching education in the US.  The first will be Jan 25-27 in Indianapolis, IN.  Come back to this space for more information as the show approaches.
